Aztec Solar Energy was commissioned by Harman Enterprise, a holding company for a larger group of UK-based firms, to deliver a bespoke solar PV system for their domestic site, Kingswood House, in Enfield, North London. The site consisted of two main buildings: a barn and a stable block. The client wanted to dramatically reduce their dependence on the grid, lower long-term energy costs, and make a clear commitment toward sustainability.
Our team designed and installed a 125.09 kWp solar PV system across the two rooftops, with works completed in a five-week installation window. What makes this project truly distinctive is the scale and ambition of the installation — a system of this size is uncommon for a domestic property — as well as the technical decisions made during system design. The delivery team consisted of six skilled professionals, led by our experienced Contracts Manager, Nick Jones, who developed an excellent working relationship with the client throughout the project. His regular communication, thoughtful coordination, and proactive handling of site logistics were all highlighted by the client as standout aspects of the experience.
All system components were carefully selected to meet the site’s generation potential and storage needs while allowing for future scalability. We selected Aiko 465W modules, known for their high efficiency and reliable performance, which we installed onto S:Flex mounting. This was also our first project using Fox ESS equipment, including inverters, batteries, and their AI Link system, which has introduced a new level of smart control and performance visibility for the client.
Following this system’s successful installation, it is expected to generate 104,482 kWh per year, delivering an estimated 48,053 kg CO₂ savings annually. From an energy independence perspective, the system has increased the property’s self-sufficiency by 84% — a transformational result for the client in terms of both cost savings and operational resilience.
