Aztec Solar Energy was approached in 2022 by Y International, a thriving goods export company located in Birmingham in the West Midlands, to install a 304.4 kWp solar PV system on the roof of their warehouse. Following the success of this installation, our client returned to us in early 2025 to add to this installation with another 795.53 kWp of solar PV with a supporting battery storage system.
With high energy consumption and a desire to cut their carbon footprint, our client had a keen interest in increasing their sustainability program and reducing their carbon footprint.
Like many businesses, the most cost- effective way to do this is through a solar PV system. Now with a total 1,099.93 kWp on their roof and their supporting battery storage system, our client has taken advantage of their available roof space to begin their sustainability and energy independence journey.
Our client was looking to maximise their return of investment and install the most suitable system for their operations. During the first installation in 2022, we installed 669 Longi 455W mono panels, offering over 22% efficiency in addition to a 25-year product and output warranty.
Opting for Solis inverters, we installed 2 100kW and 2 20kW inverters. Solis inverters are a strong choice for many businesses investing in solar PV systems due to their high efficiency and reliability.
In 2025, we designed and installed an additional 795.53 kWp system for our client, comprising 1,501 Longi 530W modules and 10 additional Solis inverters (6 100kW and 4 25kW inverters), alongside a GivEnergy inverter with 268.5 kWh battery storage.
The system is expected to produce 925,594 kWh of energy per annum, saving an estimated 360,096 kg of CO2 emissions every year.
